Most people have heard of Fibonacci Numbers but Lucas Numbers are not so well known, which is rather strange as Edouard Lucas was the first to give a name to the Fibonacci Numbers.

Lucas Like Fibonacci and is made from mitred squares based on Lucas numbers. The blanket in the photos was made using DK yarns and measures 76 cm x 90 cm (30" x 36”). The pattern includes instructions for using different yarns and for making it any size you want.

The pattern shows several possible variations, including one using a slightly different 10-inch square.
