Item details

This is a faux tortoise shell (vintage plastic) zipper pull. It came from an old alligator clutch purse I finally gave up on trying to fix.
It is a zipper pull from the top of the bag. I thought it might be used as a hang tag, pendant or purse charm or to make a new bag or fix an old one.
It is attached to the Talon zipper pull from the bag.
5” long and 1 1/4” wide.
Excellent condition. It has a few scratches, but nothing serious.

I want your buying experience to be a good one. My goal is for you to be happy when you open the package from my shop.
It is my responsibility to provide fast, secure shipping. However, I cannot be responsible for items once they have been turned over to the shipping service.
When I ship, I will provide a tracking number. I will also help you work with the post office to track your item should it become lost. Most missing items are found and arrive safely at their destination. Since I usually ship Priority Mail, most items will be insured. Please let me know if you would like to purchase insurance over the $50 provided with the priority service.
Items ship from United States.
I prefer to use USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. It arrives quickly and we can track the page with the delivery confirmation number. However, the shipping cost you paid is for first class shipping in most cases. Please contact me if you definitely want your package to be sent by Priority Mail or by Express Mail. I can invoice you for the extra shipping cost, if necessary.
It is impossible for me to know the customs regulations in all countries, so I ask you to check your country's customs rules before ordering from my shop. Furs and leathers often aren't allowed.
I do not make money on shipping. In most cases, I pay more for shipping than what the customer has paid.
Because my prices are low, I must include packing materials in the cost of shipping. I buy small and medium envelopes in bulk, but sometimes purchase large padded envelopes or boxes which are more expensive, but provide a more secure or safer shipping method. I'm always on the lookout for sturdy, inexpensive containers to use for packing. I do not charge you for these. Nor do I charge you to ship "gifts" I might include in your package.
I try to keep costs down by recycling boxes and packing materials when I have good ones. However, my main concern is packing the item so it arrives safely to you. If you want me to send your purchase in a new package, that is not a problem.
Since I can't be responsible for purchases once they're in the mail, I strongly advise purchasing insurance. Insurance usually is very reasonable. However, international packages must be sent priority mail if they are to be insured. This will increase your shipping cost, but in most cases is the only way to truly track your package.

Additional policies

No one smokes in my home, so your item will be stored in a room free of smoke. I do have a cat and dog who spend most of their time outside, but come in the house now and then (in case you are allergic). I try to clean items before shipping, unless I am afraid the vintage condition will be harmed by hand or home washing. If that is the case, I will air it in the sun. I will note if the item needs to be professionally cleaned, but I have learned that careful hand washing often is more effective and easier on the garment. You might want to research ways archivists preserve vintage garments. It is well worth using the correct methods and materials to clean your garment.
