FAQs

The Etsy checkout will calculate the shipping charges for you. After you placed the order and I packed it I will adjust the shipping costs and refund any overpaid shipping charges if they are at least $ 1.

A lot of the vintage craft items in my store are found in their original packaging. However, due to age and storing, the packaging is in most cases stained, creased or darkened. It would be difficult to take pictures of an item while it is still in the package. It would also be difficult to tell if an item has flaws. Therefore I remove the packaging, but will include it – or parts of it – if it contains instructions or other important information.

The actual colors may vary slightly due to computer monitor and/or device differences. Subtle variations in color and surface texture may not be fully revealed.

I buy the fabric at estate sales or similar events and do not always know the origin of the fabric. If I am certain that the fabric is vintage I will list it as vintage fabric. If I am uncertain, I will not.

The items in my shop are vintage. By Etsy standards everything that is at least 20 years old is considered vintage. Vintage also means that the item is pre-owned and was either used or stored. Used items will show - more or less - signs of wear from use. Items that were not used will show signs of wear from storing. In both cases the items will show signs of wear from aging. I always do my best to detect any flaws and mention them in the description or capture them in one of the pictures if possible. Therefore please also look at the pictures to determine the condition of an item. In any case, a vintage item can never be as flawless as something that was produced recently. But isn't this what makes up the charm of vintage goods?
