Do you love the look of pastel or chalk drawings, and wish that you could capture that kind of surface in your ceramic work? With the new CrayoCer series by Diez Productos, it's easy to do. Draw directly on to your bisque surface with any of CrayoCer's wide variety of colors, then clear coat and fire to cone 06 - 03. If you prefer the look of your drawings unglazed, that's fine, too - these pastels will vitrify at their top temperature, resulting in a surface that won't degrade over time. These can also be used on glazed surfaces as overglaze decoration - firing range remains the same in this case. It is recommended to slightly dampen the surface to be decorated to avoid the development of chalk dust that may be generated with each stroke - just run your piece under water before you begin application. You can also dampen your finished design with water to obtain a more water color-esque surface. Sticks measure 3" long with a 0.25" diameter and have the look and feel of a piece of chalk.
