The Imperial 127 Reflex Flash was made in Chicago by Herbert George. It took 4x4 cm images on 127 film. The 127 Reflex has a switch for Color vs. B&W
Like many Imperial cameras, it was made of plastic and available in several colors. Examples have been observed in red, light blue, gray, black, tan and green. There were also variants with different face plates.
The design is very basic, having fixed focus, one shutter speed and was available with a flash unit. It uses an top viewfinder and has a handy neck strap attached to the sides of the camera's body.
This camera looks great on a shelf with black and white photos. This camera is in very nice condition.
The flash has some base cracks in the plastic wear it mounts - you only see this if you remove the flash from the camera and look at the connection pins - the cracks have been glued to reinforce that area - see last photo
The metal faceplate and top metal plate show some light scratches, the bottom plate has a scrap across the letters COLOR for the selector, a couple light dings - see photos - zoom photos
Please zoom all photos - this camera is plastic and has light wear / swirls / imperfections and good color :)
There are some small flaws in the finish, it is however... Plastic... so please look closely at the pictures.
For 1950s - it displays beautifully and it is a great color combination.
