This is a fun original pattern I created from my love of both illustrating hands and fruit. It came together as a hand picking the ripest and most juicy cherries; kind of a metaphor in life to choose the best you can and to strive for the best within reach! Heck, sometimes go for the ones even a little out of your reach! Hand sewing is a relaxing form of therapy, great to indulge in when the rest of the world around you is going crazy. When you are finished with this project you will have a lovely keepsake great for hanging on the wall. The hoop makes a perfect frame! Slide some ribbon through the hardware at the top or just hang it on a nail. Prop it in a tiny easel to display your hard earned masterpiece! What I love about this pattern is that it works well for clothing such as jeans or a baby onesie but would also make a very fun dishtowel for a housewarming gift! This is a fantastic project for people who have some beginner knowledge of embroidery but can be enjoyed by anyone. This project has been completed in backstitch, satin stitch, straight stitch, split stitch, and long and short stitch but feel free to add your own twists to it by picking your own color palette and adding different stitches. Go crazy and add extra dots, dashes or even beads!
