Item details

This is a rare Clegg The saw dates possibly around the 1920’s though, could be a lot older.

It has the manufacturers name etched on one side - “Clegg, Shepherd’s Bush, Walthamstow - Warranted Cast Steel” and separately - “This saw is guaranteed of finest quality cast steel and the finish and workmanship have been superintended by thoroughly experienced men”.

The saw war set and sharpened at the Ercol factory in about 2003 and has hardly been used since.
The saw has some surface rust and a bit of pitting but should come up fine with a bit of steel wool
