Thanks for stopping by at Traditions Mini Ranch and Fiber Arts.
My Ashford products are all new in the box or package, unless specified otherwise.
I am an avid spinner and love exploring different fibers, mixing fibers, spinning novelty yarns and experimenting with natural and other dyes and dying methods.
This is 1/2 ounce of brushed, banded and washed NATURAL colored lustrous black/brown locks from my angora buck Hatch who was my first angora kid born on my farm. These locks are from his first shear at 9 months and are very soft and lustrous. His mother is my doe Orchid and his dad is my buck Juniper. Hatch was born May 31, 2013 and got his name because my grand daughter discovered him and came screaming to me saying, "Granny come quick , hurry Orchid just hatched an egg." This mohair is from Hatch's first shear and is a delightful. He was born black but is turning a gorgeous silver as he grows older. The locks are multicolored browns, with some rich chocolate brown and red and tan hilights. Some of the individual locks are bi-colored with silver gray growing in at the top.. The fleece is soft and silky. The locks average 7-9"in length. There is no vegetable matter as each lock was brushed before bundling and washing. I have included a picture of Hatch so you can see where the locks came from. these locks are great for #doll making, #reborn baby hair, felting, tailspinning and many other projects. Absolutely natural with no dyes.
There is absolutely no buck odor.
