PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PDF KNITTING PATTERN AND NOT A FINISHED ITEM.
Beanies are a staple for any wardrobe, a soft and slouchy hat that is both warm and beautifully finished. The double brim of this hat gives a snug fitting hat without the need for a separate, ribbed brim. The stocking stitch gives a smooth and consistent texture. With this simple base you can use colours to add flare and, with the same pattern, create a brilliant range of hats for any adult.
The pattern uses stocking stitch, provisional cast on, and a pattern of decrease stitches to shape the hat. Once mastered this pattern and technique will allow you to be creative and to use different stitches and colours to design your own creations.
The hat pictured is a small adult hat suitable for a head size 20” – 22”, the pattern also gives instructions for a large adult hat suitable for a head size 22” – 24”.
