An extremely rare Orogrande New Mexico Turquoise "Boulder" Cabochon. This is turquoise I personally picked directly from the original Demuelle mine dumps. This was a very active mine in the late 1800's till early 1900's. Much of the production going directly to the Tiffany Co. I can guarantee that it is genuine un-treated, natural turquoise. Due to the thin layer of turquoise on the mother rock this cab, while well polished, has a few "divots" in the surface. The carat weight would not be meaningful due to the thickness of the mother rock under the turquoise layer. I believe it would make a rather nice "rustic" setting The size is 33x 17 x 5.86 mm. The first two dimensions are length and width rounded down and the third is exact thickness. A dime is used in the images for size comparison. The photos are taken in natural light and are not color enhanced in any way. As usual, your monitor may show the color slightly different, but we guarantee the cab will look better in hand. We are always happy to combine shipping to save you money.
