Item details

This is a Hand-Forged file knife, made for heavy work like splitting wood or kindling. The blade is 8 inches long and an inch and a quarter wide, with a short, wedge edge bevel to support heavy abuse and work. The blade itself was forged out of a large metal file.

The handle is affixed with hollow brass pins, and features a full-tang construction with wood scales and an oil finish. The tang also ends in a metal loop for hanging the knife from a hook or a piece of cordage to attach to a belt or backpack.

I liken this tool to a froe for splitting small logs, and have done extensive testing in that field of work. This piece is sure to hold up to your use and abuse.

Does not come with a sheath.
