PLEASE NOTE: We harvest and ship our plants to order. The immature plants are very often green, but as you plant them and they mature they grow into the thick, stalks you see in the pictures. We do sometimes, depending on the length of the leaves/plant cut back the plant for shipping. The cut bud will grow back. Our plants are grown here on our small farm. We naturally fertilize them from our own farm and with supplemental nitrogen.
Planting Instructions: Bury the plant about 3-5" below surface of soil. Make sure any buds are facing upward. Water well the first few days. A good top soil is recommended. Water at least 3-4 times a week. Sugarcane likes a nitrogen rich soil. If your soil does not have much nitrogen, we recommend using a nitrogen supplement fertilizer. We recommend a 6-6-6 or Black Kow variety. YouTube videos can also be very helpful when planing and harvesting. We do not make any guarantees regarding planting or growing of sugarcane due to climates, soil and planting techniques. We do our best to try to help you in the process and are always available if you have questions.
