Item details

Make your own pretty and practical fabric grocery bags in 3 sizes using this simple SEWING PATTERN.

Besides being more stylish than plastic bags and great conversation pieces (you will get lots of fun comments at the store!), these bags are:

• Easy to load - fits on bag holders used by many stores.
• Easy to carry - wide handles distribute weight.
• Simple to clean - machine wash & dry.
• Folds to a nice size - easy to pack inside another bag.
• Reversible - line in a second fun fabric.
• Fully lined - looks great and makes the bag twice as sturdy.
• Durable - double stitched seams & reinforced handles.

The bags are the same basic design as the plastic bags (t-shirt bags) the stores give out.

Sewn as the instructions are written, this reversible bag is one fabric on one side and a second fabric on the other side.

The handles are sewn separately to make the project quick and easy (no need to press the seams under by hand) and making them separate also gives you lots of possibilities for mixing prints.

This pattern is a paper & ink friendly 7-pages: 5-pages of text and color photo instructions + 2-pages black and white pattern pieces. Handle pattern pieces are included and the bag body is a square marked and cut to the dimensions given in the instructions. Pattern is written in ENGLISH.

This is a 1-hour project for many people, but the time it takes you will depend on your personal experience and sewing speed.
