Item details

This yarn has so many accent colors it is hard to describe but I put the overall feel as a taupe with rust and green highlights. We hand dye combed top using acid dyes and heat set the color. We always do small batches and each one is unique. This wool is Corriedale Cross. Each skein is 100 yards of approximately worsted weight. Ruth knits using an 8-10 1/2 needle size. All hand spun on a Louet wheel in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of NY.

Wool must be handled carefully to prevent felting. Our wool has all been washed in cool or slightly tepid water, gently pressing excess water out and laid flat to dry. No bleach with wool! Hats should be shaped while damp.
