Incredibly rare piece of 1960's sewing history! This piece of fabric by Wamsutta was called "Banned in Boston". It was part of a series of patterns showing semi scandalous designs of famous lovers. This design is of Samson and Delilah. Each panel show the lovers lounging between rows of scantily clad dancing girls. This was very erotic for the times, hence the name. This uncut piece of fabric measures one yard square. This would be fun to make into a tote bag or perhaps a belt. Fabric does have some yellowing due to age. I believe the fabric content is polyester/cotton and can be cleaned. Please see photos for more details.
