This little baby quilt is brand new but it looks like it could be 80 years old. The faces are sewn with embroidery and appliquéed over the dresden plate blocks. They are stuffed with a little bit of fiber-fil to make them puffy. The rounded corners are made with the same template as the blocks, but the tips were cut off. The finished quilt measures 42" x 46". The block size is 14" x 16".
This quilt is also available for Embroidery Machines if you prefer that option!
The faces in this quilt were embroidered by hand. I have John James Applique and Embroidery needles available in a separate listing. These are the needles I recommend to my students. Your hand stitches will improve when you use quality needles!
