Item details

These handmade crystal shaped beads are perfect for earrings but also work well in bracelets and necklaces. They're made from multiple layers of glass and gold (mica) flakes. The corners have perfect sharp angles, and they shinier in person than you can see in the photo. One of the things I love most about this particular shape and bead is how the facets increase an already fantastic shine. They look great with gold, copper, or brass findings.

I have glass headpins available in the same color that would look great as dangles with these beads. See the second photo. The headpins are not included in this sale.

Beads measure 15mm
Beads were made on 1/16" mandrels

Please note each bead is handcrafted by me and may vary slightly. As they are not factory produced, they are not totally identical. Photos have been magnified to display detail, and colors may look slightly different, depending on your monitor. I do my best to represent colors accurately.

All of my beads are made using an oxygen propane torch and various colored glass rods, including silver glass that can cost up to $100 per pound. They are not painted, and they are not stenciled. All of the "painting" is done in the flame of the torch. I use a variety of techniques that include multiple layers of glass, custom-created color combinations, and hand-pulled canes of various kinds. These are little works of art.

All beads I make are kiln annealed, cleaned with a dremel, packaged with care and shipped promptly.

Made in my home studio in Salem, Oregon.

Photography, Etc: I try very hard to photograph my work in a way that accurately represents their colors and characteristics. However, due to the differences between computer monitors, the colors may look different on screen than they do in person.
