WW2 Fifty-Cal Machine Gun Barrels | STL Files for 3D Printing There are 2 .STL files in total, compressed into a .zip file.
Really Cool 3D Printed .50 Caliber machine Gun Barrels, short and long.
These are 3D printed .50 caliber machine barrels I designed for my 1/12 scale A-20 Havoc project. They are not perfect yet they are a helluva lot better than I can scratch build! Just cut off the base and cement them in place with CA glue or epoxy.
The short barrels are are 1.43 inches, the long barrels are 2.775 inches. The barrel tip OD is .163”, barrel tip ID is .093” and the outer cooling sleeve is .225” diameter.
These are not fast production items, since they are so small in diameter they have to be printed one at a time and very, very slowly. Printing too fast will just melt and swirl the plastic like a frosty ice cream cone. Go very very slowly with the print speed, so the layers have time to cool before the extruder head resurfaces the area. Well worth the effort!
Materials required to complete: 3D printer with filament and a 7 x 7 inch print bed. Five Minute epoxy.
