DIGITAL PATTERN AND TUTORIAL VIDEO FOR THE "HELLO" EMBROIDERY SAMPLER HOOP
When I taught myself how to embroider, I watched videos because written instructions didn’t make sense to me. That’s why I include a password protected video with my patterns, including this one, where I take you through each stitch in real time!
In this pattern, you’ll learn a lot of stitches, including: French Knots, Cable Chain, Back, Brick, Reverse Chain, Darning, Straight, Satin, Woven Wheel, Running, Stem, and Split.
I spend the first few minutes in this video unboxing the contents of the March 2018 box - this will help you determine what products you might want to purchase for your stitchy stash, and includes a run down of the supplies that you’ll need to complete this pattern. On the third page of the document, there's a minute-by-minute timeline of the video, so you should feel free to skip around according to your own pace!
WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT?
You'll need the following embroidery supplies: scissors, embroidery floss (any brand or colors of your choosing), fabric, a transfer method, needle, and 4" embroidery hoop.
You'll also need a way to open and view .pdf files. If you're opening the file on your computer, you'll be able to transfer your design from the screen to your fabric. Alternatively, you can print the document and transfer your design from the paper to your fabric.
You'll also need a way to view videos hosted by Vimeo (i.e., a phone or computer with access to the internet). When you receive your .pdf pattern, read through the instructions for a link to a password protected video tutorial in which I take you through the pattern stitch by stitch.
"HELP, I DON'T THINK I CAN DO THIS!"
Um, yes you can - just remember my favorite piece of stitchy advice: the worse it looks, the more authentic it looks. :)
PLEASE NOTE: I drink a little bit of wine in this video, and curse a few times. Keep that in mind, y'all.
