I generally ship USPS, but am happy to ship Fed Ex if you need it there by a certain date. I also ship larger items via Fed Ex, to keep costs down. Furniture items are shipped with Fed Ex on smaller pieces and via freight shippers for larger / heavier pieces. Furniture pieces will take a bit more time for packaging and arranging a shipping method, but I will keep you informed of your time frame.
The same policies regarding insurance apply here as they do to USPS, although Fed Ex has an initial automatic coverage for the value of the item (i.e., what you paid for here) up to $100. If the item is more than $100, please consider purchasing insurance. It really is worth it, should something go wrong with your order.
If you'd like a quote on shipping before purchasing, I am also able to help you with that. In general, I ship within 24 hours of purchase and payment. I will not ship unless payment is posted, so keep that in mind if you have a deadline. In the case of an emergency or inclement weather, I will do my very best to let you know it there are any delays.
I accept all credit cards and Paypal payments. If you have a reserve item in my shop, payment is appreciated within 24 hours of the listing going live. If payment is not made by then, the item will be made available to all shoppers. I do not charge sales tax on Etsy.

Returns are accepted only if something is significantly different than advertised. Please read description before purchasing to avoid issues of misunderstanding. Shipping charges are not refundable.
It is up to the buyer to purchase insurance during the check out process at time of purchase if you would like to file a claim with the carrier for refunds on shipping. If insurance is not purchased, shipping charges cannot be refunded. FURNITURE ITEMS are shipped with insurance, and will be included in shipping charges.
**It is imperative that you do not dispose of the original packaging if it arrives damaged. Please take photos of the damaged item, the packaging, and any damage to the box.** USPS will not allow the damage item to be shipped back to the seller if you are wanting to file a claim. It is up to the buyer to return the damaged item with the packaging to the local post office / shipping carrier for claims. I'm here to help as much as possible on my end, but it's up to the buyer to take the item in to the carrier for shipping claims.
I do my best to help you with the shipping process, including issues that may arise. I take care to package all items as securely as possible. Things happen though. So please understand that insurance will help you in the long run.

It is not fair to me as a seller if you are simply looking at the photos and then disappointed with an item because you skipped the description before ordering. I do my very best to be as detailed as possible when writing and shooting my listings.
Vintage is not perfect. It's special! It means you are getting an item that has been well loved, used and has a history behind it unlike anything you would buy today. There is almost always some patina, or character that will not be like an item from Home Goods. :) The quality of construction will be unmatched to most new items today, even with dings, rust, cracks, etc. This is what makes it special and unique. If you're not into that, you're probably not in to my stuff.
