Nice slice of Cherry Creek Jasper with a nice mix of soft reddish-brown, beige, black and gray on this slab. This slice is fracture and vug free giving you endless opportunities for some very nice cabochons. Our slabs are generally shown wet to show the eventual polished potential, though this slab was photographed indoors so was left dry. The stone has been left natural with no treatments or fillers. Slabs are sold 'as is' as shown in the photos and are not substituted. A nice slice of Cherry Creek ready for the artist's eye to transform from slab to cab.

Cherry Creek Jasper, a member of the Chalcedony family, a variety of microcrystalline quartz found in China. The various colors displayed in this type of stone are caused by various mineral impurities. This semi-precious gemstone has become a desirable setting for jewelry available on today's market due to its interesting patterns and colors.
On the metaphysical side of things, Cherry Creek Jasper is a stone for physical energy, vitality and protection. Jasper is an emotional healer that helps ease stress, giving a sense of humility, patience, generosity and compassion. It is also a stone of courage and bravery enabling persistence and mind strength. Jasper is also believed to aid in the healing of internal organ damage and disorders, especially for the spleen, kidneys, liver, bladder and stomach. These beliefs are spiritual supporters and not prescriptions or substitutions for medical healthcare.
Natural stones almost always contain surface impurities like fissures, vugs, fractures (healed or fresh). We try to note if there are any surface features you should be aware of and won't knowingly sell a stone without disclosing in the description of such. We try to list pictures showing all surface features or post information if there are surface features you should be aware of.
Please inspect your stones prior to your use to avoid unexpected breaks later. It breaks my heart to see my husband test a slab by putting pressure to a suspected weak spot and sometimes snaps a slab (if it has a weak spot), but, if you don't test it, half way through your cabochon, it could naturally split on you. Better to remove all doubt before starting.
We don't alter the colors in our photographs, though digital photo colors vary between cameras and depending on the lighting where the photos are taken so please view all photos before purchasing. Naturally lighted photos will be provided whenever possible, but some photos are taken indoors. Photos of this piece were taken indoors. My apologies for any glare on any of the photos and the flash has a tendency to wash the colors, therefore, some photos may be with or without flash trying to capture the most lifelike appearance.
