Thank you for your interest in our RoundAbout fleeces. We take great pride in producing beautiful, high luster, Leicester Longwool fleece. Our customers rave about the quality of our wool!
This purchase is for one lightly skirted (but very clean) Leicester Longwool Fleece. This fleece comes from a handsome ram lamb and weighs 4lb 2oz. As this is his lamb's fleece, it is extra special-- the only one that he will ever produce. The staple length is long with high luster. The texture of lamb fleece is extra decadent!
We maintain a small flock of only purebred Leicester Longwools, and are committed to preserving this critically endangered historic breed. Our sheep receive the best of care and have a wonderful life grazing in our beautiful valley, so you can feel good about both supporting a rare breed and happy, healthy sheep!
We have worked very hard over the past five years to develop a flock of classic Leicester Longwools with beautiful fleece quality. Our efforts have been rewarded with numerous honors, including: -Best Fleece in Show, Wisconsin Wool and Sheep Festival-2016 - Best Leicester Longwool Fleece at the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Leicester Longwool Association (the largest entry of Leicester Longwool fleece in US History) -Champion Leicester Longwool Ewe- Wisconsin Wool and Sheep Festival, 2013, 2014, 2015 -Champion Leicester Longwool Ram- Wisconsin Wool and Sheep Festival, 2013, 2014
Please note that shipping is not included, and will be calculated once you place your order. I'll send a final invoice once I know how many fleeces you purchase and where they are being shipped. Once payment is received, I'll get them in the mail to you right away.
Please let me know if you have questions, special requests, or if there is anything I might do to help you select just the right fleece for your needs. I'm also happy to provide photos or additional information on each individual sheep. As you can probably tell, we love them, knowing each by name, and are happy to show them off!
Thanks again for your interest!
