Two cops of high lustre pale pink uptwisted rayon floss from 1930s in good, usable condition.
Nottingham was a major embroidery centre in the 30s to 70s and these larger cops were made for use on Cornely and Singer commercial machines rather than domestic machines. The yarn will however run on all embroidery machines, including computer.
Smiths were still around in the mid 50s and were listed as a dyehouse, laundry and yarn throwsters.
We have run this yarn on our own Cornely machines and the lustre effect is far in excess of modern viscoses.
