Item details

The moon snail is the T. Rex of the mud flats.

These amazing creatures feed upon clams and other snails, lay their eggs in soft sand circles, and at the end of their lives, pass away leaving these large, beautiful, strong shells.

Sometimes the sea gifts us with one.

Or two.

Or three.

These shells are absolutely untreated, 100% natural. No dyes, bleaches, chemicals of any kind have been in contact with them. They have been weathered outdoors, in sun, snow and rain, for a minimum of five years, to ensure nothing remains but the shell. They are odorless. They would make a charming addition to a garden scene, a tabletop arrangement, or as a whimsical addition to your crafts. The thickness of the shell is comparable to a coffee cup.
