Item details

SEA MEETS SAND soft muted blue green tones with lemony peaches

You will receive 2 oz of beautiful English Cotswold Locks direct from the Cotswold (Royal Wool). These are what I call big chunky fleecy locks perfect for lock spinning. I have a lock spinning video on you tube (search Pinkipunki and you will find me easily) this is the Cotswold fleece I used in this video, just in a different colour.

These locks are also brilliant to felt with as well as many more different craft applications

You won't be disappointed with this colour it's gorgeous.

These are loose hand dyed Cotswold locks A grade direct from the Cotswolds in the UK where the wool originates from. These locks are from females (ewes). It is very nice wool. I spin with this wool a great deal in my own work. Length approx. 5 to 6 inches. Many moons ago Cotswold wool was sold to pay off the kings ransoms and funded the construction of numerous churches and historical buildings that still stand today. The bloodline of the sheep where this wool comes from stems right back to Royalty so you can say you have royal wool.

The breeder of this wool is exceptional, he knows his stuff, cares for his flock greatly and takes pride in his fleeces, rightly so. He knows how to breed sheep for spinners and felters - you don't often come across farmers like that in the UK. He has the best wool I have ever seen and is constantly winning show after show after show. He breeds his sheep for the wool and not the meat and there is a massive difference when it comes to wool quality.

You are buying the best

I hand pick out all the locks from the fleece, sort then hand scour in a special solution several times by myself, then air dry naturally. A very time consuming process but worth it for the end result. These are exceptionally clean every effort has been made to remove all vegetable matter but a small piece could remain here and there

If you have any questions please ask
Thank you

Hand wash in cool water and let air dry. This fibre will felt with hot water and agitation.
