This listing is for ONE (1) 1920's rhinestone butterfly dress trim. There are TWO (2) available of this design.
These 1920's dress trim looks like a piece of jewelry. Many of the dress enhancements and buttons of the late 19th Century and the early 20th Century were part of a woman's jewelry wardrobe. These are lovely. The silver metal butterflies are encrusted with crystal clear rhinestones and are edged in a deep sapphire blue rhinestone. I am not sure what the metal is. The result is beautiful.
They have a 1 & 11/16" wing span and are 1 & 1/8" tall. One has 3 loops, one on each top wing and one bottom center, to attach to the garment. One is missing the 3rd loop, center bottom. They are signed on the back but I can't tell what it says.
They are in very good, vintage condition. I don't think these were ever put to use. I purchased them at an estate sale in Vermont a few years ago. I have included 6 pictures which are a big part of my description. Please be sure to view them all so you have a good idea what you are considering. Close-ups photos show things not easily seen with the naked eye. Beyond what has been said, I see no other flaws. All stones are present. No corrosion on the metal.
These could be used to enhance a special evening or cocktail dress. They also could be used to make a special, hand made piece of jewelry, flapper headband or purse trim. They are stunning.
