Item details

This stylish pen works just like a real revolver. It is the perfect gift for anyone who likes guns. When you press the click mechanism the pen tip extends, the trigger clip moves up and the 6-barrel cylinder rotates to replicate you loading the gun. Then, when you pull the trigger pen clip the tip retracts.
**Rifle case shown in last 2 pictures is optional.

Finish is a 17-Step process to get a nice durable and glossy CA finish. This finish should hold up a very long time. It takes longer to apply the finish, but this is a superior finish compared to the quicker microcrystalline or friction polishes found in other places.

Optional - Pen case that looks like a gun case. It has foam inserts to keep the pen safe and well protected. If ordering 2 pens, I can put the double insert in so they both fit in the same case. This is shown in the last 2 pictures. 2-day USPS shipping included with this option.

This pen uses Parker style inks which can be found easily online or at office supply stores.
Optional - You can upgrade to a Parker Gel Rollerball ink refill. Just select that option when adding to cart.

This pen is too big to fit into a standard shipping tube. If you choose standard case, it will ship in the case shown in picture 4.

FAQs

Absolutely. Just tell me what you are interested in, and I'll be glad to look into making something for you. I will ask questions in return to clarify anything that I need to know. My goal is to make sure you are happy with your order. If you see something you like, but want it a little different (or something completely different). Don't hesitate to ask.

I have access to the following. (Thin stock and thick slabs) Ash, Cherry, Northern Catalpa, Red Elm, Eastern Red Cedar, Hickory, Hard or Soft Maple, Spalted or Ambrosia Maple (limited quantities), Red or White Oak, and Black Walnut. All these are also available in live edge.

95% of the wood I use is locally Salvaged wood. The trees were taken down due to storm damage, safety issues, property improvements, etc.. They were not harvested for their wood, they were saved from becoming firewood. Many trees taken down for these reasons end up as firewood, and that's a shame because the wood is great looking. The Mill I source my wood through takes the trees, mills them down to boards and kiln dries the wood so it's usable for just about anything. I then buy the rough sawn boards and cut them to size, plane them and use them as needed. The only wood purchased at the store is knotty pine, and this is only for certain projects and will be noted in the materials of that item.

Absolutely! I enjoy chatting with and supporting fellow woodworkers and seeing projects you have worked on. If you need something, just ask. I just need to know what type of wood you need. I can supply rough sawn blanks, whole boards, pen blanks in various thicknesses and lengths, boards with keyholes, etc.. Just ask, and I'll see what I can get for you. I'll Even make Glue-up boards if you need something glued up.

Anything is my shop is okay to pick up locally if you live near Johnsburg Illinois. You can either buy the item and I'll refund the shipping when picked up locally, or ask for a listing with no shipping charges and I'll make a listing for you. I do not have a good way to ship large tables. All tables bigger than 19" in either dimension will need to be picked up locally.

If you want multiple items and want me to look into combined shipping, let me know. 2 options here. I can make a custom listing for the items you want with a custom shipping quote. Or Buy the items you want and I'll refund the difference in shipping.

For single pen orders These are in a pen shipping tube and mailed in a padded envelope. Cost is about $3-$4 to ship them anywhere in the U.S. For 3 or more pens These will be shipped in a USPS flat-rate box. If you want it shipped differently, just ask, I'm happy to quote other methods of shipping.

Absolutely! I tested these pens in an office environment and made sure the type of finish I'm using will hold up to daily use. I tested a couple dozen types of finish and the CA finish holds up the best. Beware of cheaper pens. If the cheap pen only has a wax finish or a friction polish, they will look great at first, but with some use, the shiny finish will fade to a dull finish. If you're looking at a cheaper pen, ask the seller what type of finish is on it. If you're only looking to display the pen, and nobody will be using it or touching it, then the wax or friction finish is fine, but if it will be used or handled, then you want the CA finish since it holds up well when being used.
