Item details

Go Dawgs! Is hand-dyed superwash sock yarn.

75% Merino
25% Nylon

Each Skein/Hank is 100g - 400m.

Each colorway comes in a 100g Hank/ 474 Yards.

Although this yarn contains superwash merino, I always recommend hand washing knitwear in lukewarm and laying it flat to dry to ensure the longevity of the piece. You can also wash in cool water on a gentle cycle and lay flat to dry.

All yarn in this shop is hand dyed, and therefore we do not have dye lots, and can't ensure that skeins of the same colorway will look the same. When making larger project switching between skeins every couple of rows is recommended.

I use colorfast acid dyes on all of my hand dyed yarn, and I rinse the excess dye out of each skein after dyeing. However, sometimes a bit of color will bleed slightly the first time they are washed. I recommend washing newly knit items separately.

I do my best to capture the true colors of all my products. However, some monitors may show color differently. Please take this into account while shopping.

FAQs

I will gladly take custom orders but they take about 2-3 weeks from start to delivery. Because I hand dye all my yarn colors may vary from time to time but each skein/Hank is unique.

Wash all finished products in cool/lukewarm water by hand and lay flat to dry. Even though most yarn I use is superwash some pilling or felting still may occur if put in the washer and dryer. Sock yarn can go in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. But please shape and lay flat to dry. I use professional dye but sometimes while washing you will notice a little color come from the work it is normal and shouldn't fade the actual yarn it is probably just a little extra left behind.

Most Hanks/skeins are weighed out to be 100g. Unless they are mini skeins then they are 20g. If the skein is more or less in weight it will say so.

I hand dye all of my yarn. I dye in batches of 3-6 depending on the colourways. Skeins will vary depending on where they sit in the dye pots or in the steamers. This being said I make each skein as unique as the next even coming from the same batch. They will have the same colors. Just not in exact same spots. When doing a larger project switching between 2 balls of yarn each row will help with colors being a little different.

No I do not have dye lots because each skein is hand Dyed with love. Most are Dyed in batches of 3 or 6 so if it is a larger project buy all you need at once because at the next restocking the yarn maybe a little different than the first time around.

I use professional acid dyes. From various companies depending on the color.

I do. All by myself. It is my quiet get away from the noise of the world. Some people find a beach I find yarn, dye, and a pot.
