Item details

Here is a set of 6 rat front leg bones, all are cleaned and whitened using a traditional hydrogen peroxide method. The bones are leftovers from a recent taxidermy project I did on a large feeder rat (the rear leg bones and vertebrae are also for sale in my shop). These bones would be great for crafts or jewelry making, or even for simply displaying in a jar in a collection of oddities!

A little about me: I am a college student studying art with a love for animals and preserving their beauty after death. I enjoy mounting passed animals and using their parts to create one of a kind decorative pieces. I use the money made from selling my art to pay for tuition and furthering my career as an artist by the means of obtaining materials and tools needed to make these pieces.

Feel free to check out my shop to have a look at my other works, I greatly appreciate your support!

FAQs

I do accept requests for custom work or items tailored to your needs. Please keep in mind that custom work will take varied time for me to finish (depending on the complexity of the project). Custom items will also be priced slightly higher because they involved more labor and typically higher costs for the materials needed. I try my best to have items completed as quickly as possible for you.

Care instructions for items are available upon request. I don't print guidelines for every item because I don't want to waste the extra paper and ink. If you have any questions concerning procedures for keeping your item in its best possible condition, please do not hesitate to ask!

I do my best to describe items to their fullest extent. I also want you to be informed about the exact specifications of the item you are looking at. I typically include pictures of items being held in my hand for an estimated size. Exact measurements are available upon request.
