This is an antique Robinson S-shaped adjustable nut or pipe wrench. It is made of "drop forged steel", which is embossed on the handle. The wrench has a repair. It appears as a clump of metal on one side of the wrench. See photos. The adjustable tool still works. It closes to within 1/8 inch of being totally closed. I was unable to find information about the "Robinson" mark which is embossed on one side. There was a Robinson Tool Works in Waterbury, Connecticut, but not sure this is from that business.
The wrench measures 10 inches long x 2 3/4 inches wide at widest point. The tool is old and rusty. Note some yellow paint on one side. Take note of the repair weld. The turning mechanism moves freely.
This may be of interest to a collector of old tools. Obviously it was someone's favorite since they went to the effort to repair it.
