Polwarth wool is a great combination of softness and durability. It has a medium to long staple length making it good for experienced spinners but might be too fine for raw beginners. It can be easier to work with than Merino or Rambouillet. The addition of silk will make this a slightly more slippery fiber to work with. The finished yarn will make wonderful next to skin items and drapes well.
Silk in this wool adds sturdiness to the resulting yarn. Silk will also take the dyes differently. Dyed silk will be brighter and will add some shine in to the yarn.
Red, brown and green are represented in this colorway.
