In order to avoid disappointment, please do not ask us to guarantee delivery dates. None of the third parties we use for shipping will guarantee to deliver by a specific date, especially at Christmas. We will be happy to let you know the Royal Mail's advisory last posting dates to your country on request.
Wherever feasible we try and combine shipping on multiple orders to minimise costs to our customers but we will not combine shipping where in our sole opinion this might jeopardise the security of the goods in transit. We believe this is fair as you will expect us to reimburse you if goods arrive damaged.
Unless stated to the contrary in the individual listing all UK dispatches will be made by Royal Mail second class post as soon as reasonably possible (1-3 days) after receipt of full payment unless otherwise previously agreed.
If you require first class post or recorded delivery there will be an additional cost; please contact us to enable us to implement any upgrade BEFORE you buy.
Unless stated to the contrary in the individual listing International shipping is normally charged at the standard rate on lower value transactions. If you would like your purchase to be sent tracked and signed there will be an additional cost; please contact us to enable us to implement any upgrade BEFORE you buy.
A charge is included within quoted delivery costs to contribute towards the costs of boxes and packaging material. Where pellets are used, these are biodegradable.
Where International shipping charges have not been pre -populated (or if they have been but your country is not listed) we shall always be delighted to quote shipping costs (in £ sterling) to International customers on request. Please note that we have no control over currency conversion rates.
Shipping delays and import taxes and duties are also matters beyond our control. If any such charges are levied these must be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
If you are worried that your item has been lost in transit please check that it has not been received by another member of your family, left with a neighbour or is awaiting collection by you from your Post Office because for some reason they were unable to deliver to your address.
Please also check the shipping address you gave us, because that is where we have sent your order. If you have given us an incorrect address (it happens) please try and recover your delivery from that address. We are always happy to provide a copy of our proof of postage and will try to help but we cannot accept any responsibility for any loss arising because the address you gave us was incorrect. We cannot verify where you live.
If you are outside the UK please also be aware that your item might be delayed in your country's Customs office.
If a parcel is returned to us due to it being unclaimed from local sorting offices after a failed delivery, or if there was an error in the address supplied to us, the buyer will be responsible for repeat postage costs. Alternatively we will refund the cost of the item minus the postage charge we have paid, but only when it arrives back with us.
If you are in the UK and your item has not arrived after THREE weeks, please let us know. If you are anywhere else and your item has not arrived after EIGHT weeks, please let us know. Any delays shorter than these are considered NORMAL by shippers
All items must be paid for in full, to include the stated postage costs, before they are dispatched or collected.
If you buy more than one item and we can safely do so postage costs will be combined, if feasible (see below) and any excess shipping charges so arising will be refunded.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
Custom or personalized orders
Perishable products (like food or flowers)
Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Additional return information
If you change your mind you may cancel your order. Just let me know (via Etsy) and - provided the item has not been shipped - I will send you a full refund as soon as I see your message. If the item has been shipped, please follow the returns policy below.
If you are not completely happy with your purchase, please return it within 30 days in the same condition that it was sent to you for a full refund of your purchase cost which will be re-imbursed immediately following safe receipt by me. For the avoidance of doubt, this means that the BUYER is responsible for return shipping costs.
Although I pack very carefully, just occasionally an item is damaged in transit. Please send me a photograph of the item in the condition it arrived in so I can deal promptly with your claim. I do not require damaged items to be returned.
I try very carefully to describe accurately the condition of all items for sale, so to avoid disappointment please read the item narrative carefully and study the photograph(s).
In addition, all vintage or antique pieces are by definition of some age and have been pre-loved or pre-worn and may have acquired minor blemishes and imperfections. Pre-war pieces may in addition have minor blemishes as a result of the original manufacturing process.
