THIS LISTING IS FOR THE#12 VIRABLOC OPINEL ONLY!******************Purchased from a collector, I got this #8, a#9 and a #12 Opinel carbone Virabloc knives. These were made from I believe 1955-1995. They only lock in the open position and use friction to stay closed. Same idea as a Spanish Navaja or any other springless folding knife. All are in very good, vintage condition. Some wear on the printing and finishes etc. They show their age but function like brand new. No knicks or ANY damage to any of the blades. And no wobble either. All have been inspected, cleaned, and sharpened to a razors edge. I have just one virabloc #12, That is what this listing is for. I have (1) #8 carbone virabloc and one #9 carbone virabloc. Those are listed separately, They are vintage as well and I consider the #12 the biggest, actually useful folding knife I've ever seen... hard to believe large! Its a great conversation piece alone. Even with tje size, its light and comfortable to carry. I would suggest one of my customsheaths for this beast though.I can do any custom job on these that I do on my other listings, but these being vintage, they run a little higher as a starting knife. I turned one of these #12's into a 3"sheepsfoot blade and it was the strongest and most vicious box cutter I ever used. Never dulled in hours of work. Once again, contact me for custom work. Your vintage #12 passed my deep inspection and final tests. The pics show all three knives. The 8, 9 and 12 just get progressively bigger and the pics show the blades and handles front and back as well as the "virabloc" on the lock. These knives were "appraised" for me by an opinel aficionado. While not much, he said these are worth more than the new ones, so I just raised the price a few bucks. Fair for me and you, but feel free to make an offer.Check out my other listings for brand new custom opinel, custom kydex and leather sheaths for opinels, or ANYTHING may want a sheath for, I've done lighters, tools, bottle holders, literally anything. Antique cleaners, knives, hog splitters, belt axes, custom made new knives, hand forged and stock removal, resin art and jewelry, rare wood specimens... too much to list! Feel free to ask me anything or if you have some special request I can usually accommodate my customers. Please favorite my shop as well and visit me on IG @bonezcustoms. I post works in progress, new finds and usually my items sell there before they even make it here. Thanks again!
