Fabulous find! Back in they day when we made our own clothes, there were so many different brands of sewing machines -- how could the general store keep track of all the different needles, shuttles, and bobbins needed? The needle for a Damascus Grand Rotary sewing machine would, unfortunately, not fit the New Victor and highly unlikely to be interchangeable with the needle for a Jennie June.
The Boye Needle Co. had an ingenious rotating tin canister that held wooden cases (vials) of needles and shuttles and metal clips of bobbins -- just dial up the brand you need and open the tin door.
Only a few are left in good working condition and with a sizable original inventory like this one! The Boye Needle Co. tin includes: 9 bobbin clips (1 is empty) 15 shuttles (2 with missing tops to the wooden case) 85 needle cases with at least 1 needle per case
Lots of dings, scraped paint, and a little fading; mechanics still work well. Overall size is approximately 16" diameter and 3.75" high. This would make a great store display!
