I love letters and writing in art. There's something inherently lovely about the shapes of letters themselves, but then what they can combine to mean. This piece features both handwritten and stenciled forms. Sort of looks like a deconstructed American flag, but I promise, I have no hidden agenda.
This is a fat quarter (at least 18"x22") that has been washed, dried, painted, heat-sealed, loved and is ready to leave the nest.
All my fat quarters are made of upcycled cotton sheeting and have been created using textile and acrylic paints on a Gelli plate. They are colorfast, and will withstand machine washing and drying (though may fade with many washings.) My photos are untouched and unfiltered so you can see the piece as it is.
This fabric can be utilized like the typical commercial sorts used in quilts and projects, but is arty enough to stand on its own. Enjoy!
