MERYLON 75/25: Approximately 100g/463yds 75/25 superwash Merino wool/nylon. This is an excellent offering of the ubiquitous 75/25 fine fingering/sock yarn that is so useful and versatile. These were kettle-dyed a very bright yellow-green then glazed inconsistently with a chestnut brown. They are variegated and each hank is unique, even from the same batch. Two socks knit with one hank will be similar but not identical. The colour reminds me of a Bosc pear.

This is a lovely, soft (but tough!) yarn, great for just about any fingering weight project you can think of. It is perfect for next-to-skin items and baby garments. If you knit socks tightening the gauge slightly will ensure iron-like wear.

While this is superwash treated, I recommend hand washing and drying flat to maintain optimum colour and texture.

I ship usually within 1 business day of payment confirmation, via the most economical Canada Post option. Unfortunately, postage costs in Canada are high (sorry, eh!) but domestically, do include tracking and insurance, plus delivery is relatively quick. If you wish to add any other features or expedite the package, please contact me for a quote.

CANADIAN BUYERS: I can ship domestically, up to 3 regular hanks via UNTRACKED lettermail using vacuum-sealed packaging if you wish to save shipping costs. One hank = $3.50, two hanks = $4.50, three hanks = $5.50. Let me know at time of purchase and I'll refund excess postage paid.

If you live in the K-W area let me know and I will issue a free shipping coupon and we can arrange a pick-up.

U. S. BUYERS: For most reasonable rates, shipping small packets to the U. S. is via air but EXCLUDES insurance and tracking. Delivery should be within 14 business days (usually less), but occasionally takes a bit longer. If you'd like upgraded shipping, let me know and I'll get a quote. Larger packages are automatically shipped with tracking.

INTERNATIONAL: Outside North America, shipping is generally UNTRACKED AIR, a medium-cost option. I will select the best option available for the shipping paid, especially with larger packages. I can ship untracked ground - which costs less - and will refund any excess, simply let me know in the notes. Please be aware that packages may take 4 weeks or more to arrive via ground. Alternatively, if you'd like expedited options please convo me for a quote.

Duties and taxes are your responsibility and cstoms tags will state the actual cost; no customs or duty fees are included in what you pay. International shipping times can vary greatly, especially overseas - please be patient if it seems to be taking longer than usual as it is likely that your package will eventually arrive.

I follow Canada Post's guidelines regarding lost packages, which is usually only considered so after 30 business days. Let me know if your package seems to be taking unusually long and I'll follow up from this side if at all possible, but PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU DO NOT CHOOSE TRACKED POSTAGE THERE IS LITTLE I CAN DO.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
I would like you to be happy with your purchase. If you are dissatisfied, kindly contact me and I will work with you to rectify the problem. Barring that, I will accept returns for refund within 20 days provided the hank is in its original condition; however, postage will not be refunded.
Additional policies

I make every effort to represent the true colours of the yarn in the pictures but we all know that screens and monitors differ. If you are at all unsure about the colour please contact me and I will send more pictures and/or provide more details. My guess is that if you are shopping for hand dyed yarn you like colour and don't mind talking about it ad nauseum, like me. I want you to LOVE your yarn.

I consider one knot or join in a hank to be acceptable. I also may re-skein after photographing and prior to shipping if the hank became tangled.

If you are using multiple hanks of the same colourway I recommend you alternate every two rows or so, as even those from the same pot can differ noticeably. The individuality of each hank is part of the charm and beauty of small-batch hand dyed yarn.

To assure them a long, beautiful life, please hand wash and air dry your finished objects, regardless of the "superwash" designation.

My studio is in a smoke-free but dog-friendly home (the pooch is hypo-allergenic, regularly groomed and isn't generally interested in my yarn). Dyed hanks are stored in bags in closed plastic bins.
