When I started making bags, I learned that plastic or bamboo point turners were for making silk blouses, not handbags made from recycled upholstery fabrics. My dad, who is always inventing things and better ways to get things done, worked with me to come up with the finished design for this metal sewing tool. It was fun to work with him over the past 10 years of R+D.
This is the result:
the unbreakable point turner!
(for making bags from heavy fabrics)
You and all your sewing friends want one! Get a smooth point without using an iron (although sharp corners get even better with both.) They are made in small batches and hand sanded to a smooth finish. Comes in an ultrasuede sleeve made from scraps.
I love this tool!
