This listing is for a crochet PDF pattern providing detailed instructions on how to make a crochet clownfish of your own.
This pattern was designed and created by Jessica Woofter.
Skills needed: Intermediate
Yarn requirements: All parts are made of worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn. It is really up to you what you would like to use for colors. When choosing yarn types, just make sure you use yarns with similar washing instructions. You will not need an entire skein of yarn from any of the colors needed. So, this pattern works great with leftover skeins of yarn.
I used the following yarn brands to obtain the pattern: Super Saver Yarn – Red Heart - #312 Black / #0311 White / #0254 Pumpkin - 7 ounces - 363 Yards - Coats & Clark
Hooks: It is important to use a hook size that is comfortable for you and will still give you tight stitches. If you find your tension to be very loose try using a hook size smaller. It is important to make tight stitches in order to keep a stiff form.
The hook size used to obtain this pattern was a 3.50 mm hook. The gauge is 6 stitches and 5 rows = 1 inch.
Finished size: The finished size of your amigurumi goes hand in hand with the yarn and hook you choose. However using a 4.25 mm hook, the finished doll will be roughly 4.5 inches tall from dorsal fin to pelvic fin, 3.5 inches wide through the face, and 10 inches long from nose to tail.
