This listing is for one finished copper patina pen nib holder with medium fine, slightly flexible antique English pen nib. The nib is held in tightly by pressure and is not intended to be replaceable. The pen shaft is made of hollow copper. Each pen has a unique patina, which is developed over several days and sealed with lacquer.
Use this pen for old world charm in letter writing or drawing with your favorite pigmented ink. Its fine nib will work well on smooth paper, and will not load so much ink as to cause ghosting or bleed through. No fancy calligraphy skills are needed for writing with a dip pen; it simply is for the pleasure of writing from a well of ink and creating variation of thickness in up and down strokes. As your practice your new handwriting you will find that the rhythm of varying pressure you use to form letters is an engaging and mindful experience. Sketching also takes on new personality with the strokes that comes from a flexible dip pen. Dip pens are a writing tool enjoyed by beginners and master calligraphers alike!
