My Icelandic sheep Reggie's Spring 2018 fleece. This fleece weighs 3 pounds 4 ounces and has a little bit of hay in it. Overall, it is a very nice fleece. Cost is $12 per pound. Reggie is cream with a little black colored sheep. Icelandic wool is double coated. It has a longer, courser outer coat of tog and a shorter, softer undercoat of thel. See photos. Some of them show the "cut side" of the fleece. This fleece is mostly in one piece, and may make a good "faux sheepskin". When blended, it should be good for weaving, knitting of outerwear objects, or felting. The fleece has been "skirted" to remove manure tags and obvious vegetable matter.
