I used these molds for years until I grew large enough to buy a machine for votive making, They may not look great but will work great as they are well seasoned. Do not clean these - just add hot wax No need to buy wick pins, they way I did it for 20 years is to fill the empty votive mold first, wait 2-3 minutes and then add your wick to the center. It will grab the wax at the bottom like glue. Let it sit until the top crusts over, then move the wick back and forth to make a slit in the crust. Repeat until the wax hardens. Wait a few hours and top the sink hole with hot wax, Do not fill to the top again as wax may go down the side and make it difficult to remove candles. If any candles stick to the mold, just place in fridge for 5 minutes and they will pop out easily.
