"Blacks of the Dark" ring in black Murano glass with chrome steel elements.
The "Nerii del Dark" ring is made of black-coloured glass, with a "Murano glass" stamp that attests to its artisan production. It is inspired by "dark Blacks" (original name "Makkuro Kurosuke"), also known as spirits of soot, small creatures that move quickly in the absence of light.
The blacks are characters that appear in two animated films of the great Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki "The Enchanted City" and "Totoro". They represent the balls that are formed in the abandoned houses and who like to hide in the corners of the furniture or under the beds but they also have an intangible and spiritual nature, the legend wants that they are seen only by the children.
"Soot sprites" ring are a precious jewel made of original glass from Murano, it's entirely handmade and marked as "Murano glass", which attests handicraft production.
It's inspired by "Soot Sprites", originally called "Makkuro Kurosuke", also known as wraiths of Soot, tiny creatures who move speedy in absence of light. They appeared in two important animated movies by Hayao Miyazaki, the great Japanese director, "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi" ("Spirits Away", 2001), and "Tonari No Totoro" ("My Neighbour Totoro", 1988).
Those creatures symbolize those dust wads you find in abandoned houses, they love hiding under furnishings like beds, and are also incorporeal and spiritual beings: Legend tells only children can see them
