This was a road kill coyote that I salvaged in the winter. I scraped the flesh, cleaned, and softened with vegan home made soap and peanut oil. The hide was stiched and smoked with shaved poplar wood. The soap and oil replaces brains or marrow used in times of yor, but other than that, it is treated "traditionally". The fur is the coyote winter coat and seems to put off a warmth of its own. As it has been smoked it is quite durable, water resistant and pest resistant and so will last a long time. The hair does not slip but you will encounter some hairs here and there - this is a natural product. Use for any crafting application - hats, scarf, quiver, boot liner, exc. WARNING: If you have a reaction to pet dander your face will explode. Non Native. Im a mens size 12 for size reference. It smells strongly of smoke, is quit flexible with some stiff spots (area around eyes very stiff) and really something special. Generally the skin is as white as the fur - the tan yellow you see in the picture is from the smoking process. I'm guessing on shipping -if over charged you'll be refunded.
Great naturally prepared fur. Will be perfect for making my mukluks, thanks!
