Item details

These Dutch paper doll twins and their accompanying story appeared in a 1922 Ladies' Home Journal as part of a 'Fold Away Paper Doll' series. Each month a set of paper doll twins representing a country or culture was published. This month the twins were Dutch and the story that appeared is also included as a PDF bonus point of reference - 'The Dutch Twins and the Storks'. The images were cleaned up a bit for clarity and proper sizing, but the pages have been left with some of the aged discoloration. I designed and included a printable pocket envelop that can be used to tuck away the paper dolls and clothes - perfect for a junk or smash journal, or scrapbook. All are ready for INSTANT DIGITAL DOWNLOAD and use in your arts and craft projects or for kids DIY projects. Paper dolls were popular among children from the turn of the 20th century through the 1950's - they were inexpensive, creative, taught dexterity and incorporated the do-it-yourself and maker experience.

For other Paper Dolls that were part of the series, search my shop for 18002.

Included:
- 8.5 x 11 inch paper doll page (also printable on A4)
- Pocket Envelope approximately 2.5 x 4.2 inches (also printable on A4)
- Bonus story about the paper doll twins as published in the same issue of the Ladies' Home Journal
- 300 dpi high resolution images
- 2 sheets JPG format
- 2 sheets PDF format
- 1 sheet PNG for the story

FAQs

There are limits to how you may use the digital images / files. Purchase does not transfer the copyright of these images and all rights are reserved for StudioOnGlore. Print and enjoy these images endlessly in your own personal projects! However, if you sell, share, or in any way distribute, your projects (what I will refer to as light commercial use) you can use up to 200 prints per image. Selling, sharing or distributing the digital format by any means is restricted. See StudioOnGlore Shop Announcements for the full Terms of Use and some examples of what is permitted and what is not.

If you use the default in many photo and graphic tools to print these images, they will likely alter the size because they will "fit" to the page. When there is a pdf file, you can open by right-clicking on the file you want to print and then selecting "open with" Adobe Reader. If you don't have Adobe Reader, you can download it for free. Once you open the image in Adobe Reader, select File --> Print, then set to "Actual Size" and make sure the proper orientation is selected - portrait or landscape. The orientation will vary from item to item so make sure you check the image. After you make the selections, check the preview. If all of the images are in the clear, not gray, area, click the [Print] button.

To print actual size if you are a Microsoft user and don't want to use the pdf file method above, is to open the jpg file by right-clicking on the file and selecting "open with" Paint. Once open, select File --> Print --> Print Preview --> Page Setup. Select the appropriate orientation, put zeros in all of the margins (Paint will fill in the default for your printer). Next select "Adjust to 100% normal size". Note: If the X in the gray preview area is not completely within the dotted lines, it is ok, however you should test print because there may be blank pages printed and you don't want to waste premium paper. Select [OK] and then [Print]. *This is meant for collage sheets and not 8.5x11 images which you would print to fit page.
