This is a hand decorated, 6 x 5 x 1" Mesha (1.2 mm thick white cardboard) "jewelry" box. Not only is it a beautiful box for a gift, it's perfect for "keepsakes," or just to display.
I attached two strips of Japanese Chiyogami silk screen paper lengthwise across the box, and then added two lengths of cream colored sheer ribbon length & crosswise. Finishing touch was a quad-looped bow in cream colored raw edged silk (1.5" in width) and pale bluish grey hand dyed raw silk (1/4" in width) ribbon.
The bottom half of the box was wrapped with the same paper.* I'll add a cotton pad and gift tag that you can personalize.
*In order to make sure the boxes open and close easily, I leave small margins along the edges of the box.
