Item details

Gorgeous colors, stunningly soft, beautiful sheen.
This is a strip from a Mulberry silk lap that I hand dyed. The colors are absolutely amazing! My favorite thing to do with these is to add them into batts at the very end, as sort of a "frosting" over the top. Perfect for all your other favorite fiber art projects, as well. Super fun to spin up!

Silk laps are a large sheet of carded Mulberry silk fiber; the fibers aren't quite as aligned as silk top but are easier (in my opinion) to work with than silk hankies. Silk lap has several layers that can be peeled apart. These are a strip that I gently tear off the side of a lap, and hand dye.

Listing is for 1.1 ounces, amount pictured in photos.

Additional policies

Please note that many fibers that I use come from small farms and will occasionally have small pieces of vegetable matter, but I try to describe each item as accurately as possible. All items are made/stored in my non-smoking, pet friendly home. I use a gentle detergent to wash my fiber and dyed fiber may have a slight vinegar smell due to how I set the dye.
