This solid cherry needlework carrier is crafted after traditional Shaker design. Box is a #8 size Shaker carrier measuring 13 3/4” by 9 3/4”. Height is 5 1/2” - 12” with handle.
The band is steamed and hand wrapped around a mold after the overlap finger has been hand carved. Copper tacks are then used to secure the band.
Needlework carrier is lined with a high quality decorator fabric in a classic denim blue with a crisp white paisley pattern. (Please note: picture makes blue appear brighter than it actually is)
Needlework carrier includes a matching pincushion. True to Shaker design and technique, each pincushion is hand stitched by Diane with detailed spider work. 3” diameter and 2” high.
Also included is a #3 Shaker Button Box. Measures 6 3/4” by 4 1/2” and 1 5/8” tall. Button Box is cherry sides and birds eye maple top.
