Item details

This listing is for a bead strand of 60 (SIXTY) handmade earthy terracotta beads which are just perfect for absorbing essential oils (*See notes) or a boho necklace. We use terracotta clay dug from soil deposits in our hometown to make these beads. The beads are unglazed and are slightly absorbent.

The beads are hand rolled by women from a disadvantaged community here in my hometown and they are slightly imperfect beads with an authentic look and feel. No two beads are exactly the same size and shape and some are a bit wonky - honest, authentic clay beads. I design, glaze and fire the beads in my pottery studio to 1 100 degrees Celsius (2 012 Fahrenheit) making them strong and durable.

You will receive:

60 terracotta beads of about 18-20mm (0.7 - 0.8 inches) x 16-18mm (0.6 x 0.7 inches)

Stringing Holes = approx 2.5 - 3mm (0.11 inches)
** Please see 2nd image for size reference.

I do combine orders from both my Etsy shops and will refund shipping overage, if any.
My shops:

Discount of 25% is available on orders of $100 and above. Please use discount code DISCOUNT25 at check-out. This discount is available in both of my shops.

*Notes on beads used as diffusers for essential oils:
When a drop of essential oil is dripped onto the surface of the terracotta, it is absorbed into the tiny pores of the clay. The oil then slowly evaporates (diffuses) putting a delicious scent into the air.
Make sure the oil is fully absorbed into the terra cotta prior to use.
As long as the oil is completely aborbed it will not stain clothing when worn.
