This worsted weight 2 Ply alpaca/mohair/angora handspun yarn which is amazingly soft, beautiful and oh so squishy. It's made of fiber grown by our alpaca herd and handspun here on the farm with my Ashford Kiwi 2. I've tried to show that the spinning is thick and thin and sometimes overspun, sometimes underspun. Very artsy.
Alpaca fiber is naturally lightweight yet softer, more durable and warmer than wool. Alpaca fiber does not contain lanolin and is hypoallergenic.
Our alpacas are our babies and are well taken care of in order for them to produce high quality fiber year after year.
No harsh chemicals are used in the processing of this yarn, so, there may be minimal vegetation found in our yarn, but it is easily picked out while knitting or crocheting.
