A rare and unique piece of beach glass. The glass appears completely black but when held to a light you can see that it is orange/amber.
This black sea glass is approximately 1.5 inch long. It is completely flawless and would make a beautiful wire wrapped piece.
This glass was surf tumbled by Lake Erie. The lot that you see pictured is the exact lot that you will recieve.
Beach Glass is formed when bottles and other glass objects are thrown into an ocean or lake. Over time the waves will wear the broken pieces of glass down so that they are no longer sharp. This also gives the glass that much sought after frosted look. Eventually(usually many years) the glass washes up to shore and is collected by people.
